1. What conditions must be met to receive funding from PFRON?

Funding for the purchase of rehabilitation equipment is intended for people of all ages, with any degree of disability, for whom a doctor has recommended equipment for home rehabilitation, i.e., for whom there is a need to conduct rehabilitation at home using this equipment.

To obtain funding from PFRON (State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled People), income criteria must be met: individuals may apply for funding if the average monthly income, as defined by family benefit regulations, divided by the number of people in the joint household, calculated for the quarter preceding the month of application submission, does not exceed the amount of:

  • 50% of the average salary per person in a joint household,
  • 65% of the average salary for a single person,

The amount of co-financing for the purchase of rehabilitation equipment is up to 80% of its cost, but not more than five times the average salary. The applicant's own contribution is a minimum of 20% of the value of the rehabilitation equipment.

2. What documents are needed for the grant application?

The procedure is not complicated. The following documents must be prepared:

  • current disability certificate,
  • income statement,
  • document confirming the estimated cost of purchasing the equipment (e.g., price specification)
  • medical certificate indicating the justification for using specific rehabilitation equipment at home.

Applications can be submitted throughout the year. However, grants are paid until the district family assistance center (PCPR) has financial resources for this purpose.

3. Where to submit documents?

Documents should be submitted to the appropriate branch of the PCPR (District Family Support Center) or MOPS (Municipal Social Welfare Center).
