Good sleep - good life
Good sleep is invaluable. Infants and children need it the most. Then, we go through a period in life when we think that sleep is for the weak. We pull all-nighters without any consequences yet. Later, however, as we age, we increasingly appreciate the ability to get a good night's sleep, and missed sleep casts a shadow over our well-being and – in the long term – our health.
Ewa wants to sleep, or sleep problems
Although sleep is a natural part of our biological rhythm, it is not at all easy to sleep well. Daily stress, an overload of responsibilities, and the lack of regular sleep and wake times mean that many people have trouble sleeping. According to some studies, this affects as many as 30% - 40% of urban adults. The problem is not only insomnia, but also poor sleep quality. We experience this when we sleep long hours but still wake up tired. What can we do to sleep better and more efficiently?
Get regular check-ups
This is absolutely the first point on the list. If you have started having sleep problems, it is worth getting a blood test to check if all your parameters are within the norm. It is generally worth getting regular check-ups – at least once a year, just like a car inspection. If the tests show any abnormalities, you should see a doctor. If your blood test results are normal, you can calmly look for the cause of your problems in external factors.
An inseparable companion - stress
Our life is not a bed of roses. We are permanently attached to our email and phone. The workday does not last 8 hours - in the pursuit of targets, in the race against deadlines, it often happens that we are at work non-stop. Always available, always with our heads buried in tables and charts. The market is governed by tough rules: today you win, tomorrow you lose. No job lasts forever, and tomorrow is often uncertain. On top of that, there are personal or financial problems. Chronic stress is the disease of our time. How can we deal with it?
Braintronics - relaxation for the mind
We cannot eliminate stress from our lives. However, we can learn how to deal with it. The Braintronics app will prove helpful here.
Braintronics is a brainwave audio stimulation system. In other words, we influence the brain with sounds of a specific frequency to motivate it to produce "relaxed" brainwaves. You can use the app during a massage in massage chairs, on the Quattromed V BT massage mat, or while lying on the MediDream contoured pillow (or the MediDream relaxation pillow). If you do not have any of these products, simply use the app in a comfortable position where your body can relax.
You will see the first effects after about 2 weeks - but this is very individual. Most people feel an improvement in their well-being after just the first 3 sessions; they fall asleep more easily and sleep better.
Reliable routine
Once you have taken care of reducing your stress levels, also make sure to go to bed at regular times. Then your body will be programmed to rest at a specific time.
At the beginning, this may be difficult to implement, but it is worth giving up a late-night TV show or another chapter of an interesting book for the sake of better well-being.
Good sleep - the devil is in the details
Remember the details that will make it easier to fall asleep and have a positive impact on the quality of your sleep:
- Do not overeat before sleep - have dinner about 2 hours before going to bed. Make sure it is not heavy.
- Relax - the MediDream pillow has built-in speakers through which you can play your favorite music. You can also meditate, enjoy a gentle massage, or take a warm bath with added lavender oil.
- Air out the bedroom
- Do not overheat the room where you sleep - a temperature of 19 degrees Celsius is optimal for sleeping.
