A senior is a customer who often requires a special approach due to their physical condition or existing medical conditions. For this very reason, we have ensured that our offer includes comfortable armchairs for older people.

In this article, we will advise you on what to look for when choosing a massage chair for an elderly person so that the purchase is successful and causes no problems in use. Expert advice will be provided by Ilona, who specializes in selling massage chairs at our showroom in Tarnowo Podgórne.

What are the characteristics of comfortable armchairs for older people?

Ilona: An armchair for an older person should above all be adapted to their physical condition. We must keep in mind that people who have mobility problems may find it difficult to sit in a massage chair with a built-in footrest. They will require assistance when sitting down and getting up from the chair. In such a situation, a good solution is a massage chair with a separate footrest unit or an open footrest.

Does the contouring of the chair also matter?

Ilona: Of course. A comfortable armchair for an older person should have a straight backrest. Then there will be no problem getting up from the chair after a massage. Massage chairs that you sink deeply into provide wonderful massages, but getting out of such a chair may require more effort from an older person or require help.

What else should we pay attention to when buying a chair for elderly parents or grandparents?

Ilona: Let's remember that older people are often delicate and feel discomfort or even pain more quickly. It is therefore worth choosing a model that allows for adjusting the intensity of the massage, such as the Aura massage chair. This model is particularly popular among older people or multi-generational families who make a purchase with all family members in mind – those who need an intense massage and those who need to be treated gently.
Aura has a 4D massage mechanism and allows you to adjust the intensity of the massage at any time.

Seniors are often afraid of new technologies.

Ilona: There is no need to be afraid of our relaxation chairs - all are intuitive and easy to use. Furthermore, many models – such as the aforementioned Aura – are controlled not only from the remote control but also feature a quick-access panel in the armrest. These are large, easy-to-use buttons that allow you to manage the most important functions of the chair: its position and massage programs.

We also have a special Higher Smart model in our offer. It is a simple and comfortable chair for an older person. It features a separate footrest unit and a simple remote control with large, legible markings. This model performs basic massage techniques, so it will be suitable for people who need a gentle massage and avoid intense manipulations and "bending" of the body.

Is it really a comfortable chair for an older person? Test before you buy!

Should a senior buy a massage chair "blindly"? Isn't that too risky?

Ilona: It is always worth consulting with an advisor before purchasing. We will thoroughly assess the situation and suggest suitable models. If it is possible for the customer to visit our showroom and test the massage chairs for themselves – we always encourage this. However, if for various reasons the customer cannot reach us, we can send them our mobile massage chair showroom. In that case, the customer tests the selected chairs right outside their home and can have the delivery made immediately after choosing the right model.

If you are looking for a comfortable armchair for an older person, you already know what you should pay special attention to. And we, as always, are here to provide expert advice.
