Casada massage chairs - relaxation for the 21st century

The new additions to Casada's massage chair range prove that the innovation of this product can be almost limitless. Zbigniew Sidor, CEO of Casada Polska, talks about what has changed in our chairs and the direction we are heading.

At first glance…

Z.S.: You can see the difference. Each successive model of massage chair is clearly different from the previous one – in form, material, and functionality. Each subsequent model is more perfect, richer than the previous one.

Let's start from the beginning, however. What has changed in Casada's range of massage chairs?

Z.S.: This year, our range in the massage chair sector has expanded significantly. We have just launched models with the Braintronics® system: Alphasonic II, Betasonic II, and Hilton III – these are improved versions of the Alphasonic, Betasonic, and Hilton chairs, which have been on sale for several years now. After a long break, we have returned to the Smart model – the Smart V is a proposal completely different from the others.

The flagship model of the massage chair until now was the Alphasonic with the innovative Braintronics® system. How does the Alphasonic II differ from it?

Z.S.: The Alphasonic II has dethroned its predecessor – that was our goal. Both models differ both visually and functionally. The Alphasonic II has more streamlined shapes. The quilted seat cushion is made of a more matte, soft material, and the chair is available in five color versions. The Alphasonic II is the most functionally and technologically advanced chair. It is also the most convenient to operate – access to the chair's most important functions is possible not only from the remote control but also via a control panel built into one of its sides. We even thought about installing a USB port so that you can plug your phone into it, for example, while using the Braintronics® app. This is also a huge difference, because the Alphasonic and Betasonic had a so-called Braintronics Box, which had a specific number of pre-loaded program tracks. Now, Braintronics® is available as an app for iOS and Android, and new programs are constantly being added.

Are the Betasonic and Betasonic II also so significantly different from each other?

Z.S.: Of course. The Betasonic II is the most gentle, relaxing massage chair that we can imagine. We particularly recommend massage on it for people suffering from sleep disorders. The Betasonic II is also the first chair in which we have used LS technology – thanks to it, the massage mechanism performs a massage over a distance of up to 135 cm, and its shape is adapted to the anatomical curvature of the spine.

And what about the Hilton series? The Hilton II featured intense stretching and a yoga program. What does the Hilton III have in store?

Z.S.: The Hilton III still features stretching and "yoga for the lazy," but this time improved, including 3D massage technology. The new model also stands out for its original finish – we have combined soft eco-leather lining the interior of the chair with the material that covers the sides. As a result, we have created a designer piece of furniture that is an ornament for any interior.

Which functions of Casada massage chairs deserve special emphasis?

Z.S.: At the moment, a massage on a massage chair is almost indistinguishable from a manual massage. Our devices' mechanisms work using 2D and 3D technology, adapting to the body shapes of the person being massaged, and the wide range of chair position adjustments allows for setting the user's height, as well as the width of their back and shoulders. Thanks to this, you can precisely define the range of the mechanism's operation.

A classic but extremely useful function available in all Casada massage chairs except the Smart V is the astronaut position, or so-called Zero G. In this position, the entire body and all its systems are relieved of tension. The same thing happens in a state of weightlessness – in fact, this technology was taken from "space" technology. It is worth letting the body rest in this position because it is the only alignment in which no pressure is exerted. An important and also unique functionality is Braintronics®. Audio stimulation of brain waves combined with a specially designed full-body massage allows for achieving a balance between body and mind. Brain waves are tuned to the desired frequency, and this happens "remotely," so to speak – this is the greatest advantage of this technology. We ourselves are often unable to free ourselves from a rush of thoughts, we are unable to control stress, or switch off even for a moment. Braintronics® does it for us.

Is Braintronics® the future?

Z.S.: Most certainly. Our system is extremely effective – scientific research confirms this. The first master's thesis on Braintronics® has even been written at the Technische Universität München by a graduate of Sports and Health Science. That is why we headed in the direction of a smartphone app – it allows us to continuously develop the system and provides users with easy access to it. We also plan to implement this technology into other devices. Soon, the Quattromed V massage mat will work with the Braintronics® app – perhaps we will be able to release the first models with this functionality later this year.

The Smart V does not work with the Braintronics® app. It also lacks the Zero Gravity function... In fact, this chair deviates from the other items in the range in every respect. Why?

Z.S.: Because an alternative is needed. There was a need to create a compact, economical, yet designer and functional chair. Smart V – as the name suggests – cleverly combines all these assumptions. It fits small studio apartments decorated in a Scandinavian style, has an original form, and at the same time performs the most popular massage techniques, including foot reflexology. It is also important that the Smart V is simply an extremely comfortable piece of furniture where you can rest after a hard day. You can rest your legs on the footrest and immerse yourself in a book.

Indeed, in this way, Casada has secured the needs of all customers who dream of a massage chair.

Z.S.: At this moment, we have certainly succeeded in that. However, we are not resting on our laurels. The world is moving forward, new technological solutions and new opportunities are appearing all the time. We are constantly creating new designs, developing new products, and looking for opportunities to improve existing ones.

Does this mean that Casada will soon surprise the market with something again?

Z.S.: Casada always tries to surprise the market, and we usually succeed...

So, we are waiting impatiently for the next premieres – especially of massage chairs. But before the new products appear – what will the CEO be getting a massage on?

Z.S.: My favorite massage chair is the Alphasonic II. Before, I used its predecessor – it was on the first Alphasonic that I tested the operation of the Braintronics® system. Since then, I have been using Braintronics® regularly. The Alphasonic II is perfect for me – but that is, of course, no benchmark. Everyone must find "their own" chair, tailored to the needs of their own body.
