Every Casada massage chair is equipped with a scanning function. However, it does not always work the same way.

In this article, we will reveal the secrets of scanning to you, tell you how it works in individual chairs, and why it is not worth skipping this function even when the massage chair gives you the option.

Scanning - the first step to the perfect massage

The user body scanning function is programmed to best adjust the massage mechanism's settings to the person currently sitting in the chair.

This is the first step the massage chair takes before beginning a massage, and in most models, we cannot skip it.
And it is not worth skipping, because our position in the chair varies—we don't always sit the same way, after all, so the massage mechanism's settings will also be different.

To summarize: the key to the perfect massage is a perfect scan of the person being massaged. Therefore, during scanning, you should sit in the chair with your head resting against the headrest and your arms in the armrests, not fidgeting or browsing social media on your phone.

Different scanning systems

Scanning systems differ depending on the massage chair's level of technological advancement.

In simpler chair models, such as the Ecosonic or Pollux scanning involves automatically detecting body position and determining shoulder position. Thanks to this, the chair can determine our height, and the massage heads finish their work at the neck level, not on the back of the head.

In advanced models, such as the Titan, Skyliner II or Aura we are dealing with intelligent scanning. The chair not only perfectly detects the shoulder position but also maps the line of the spine. The massage mechanism is therefore not only adjusted to our height but also perfectly conforms to the lumbar region and pulls away in the thoracic section.

Time for correction

If you feel that the chair's massage mechanism is positioned too low or too high, you can correct its position immediately after scanning is complete or—in the case of the Titan massage chair —perform a re-scan.

Where do these "shortcomings" come from? Most often from our impatience. Many people simply fidget in the chair during scanning. Sometimes, however, the need to change the position of the massage heads results from our preferences or, for example, posture defects.

No matter how intelligent the scanning in a massage chair may be, it cannot account for things like uneven shoulder height or various types of postural defects. That is precisely why we have the option to manually adjust the mechanism.

Now that you understand why scanning is such an important process, you will surely ensure you have the correct position in the chair while it's taking place ;)
