5 kilos of extra weight

I dreamed of having a baby. When I got pregnant, I was over the moon. My little miracle was growing like crazy, and I celebrated every moment of my blessed condition, which for me was truly blessed: I felt great, I didn't have morning sickness even once, and the pregnancy itself proceeded by the book.

My delighted husband kept offering me delicious treats, and I eagerly indulged in calorie-heavy cravings, thinking I was eating for two.

And finally, that day arrived: I was finally holding my beloved daughter in my arms. But around my stomach and hips, 5 postpartum kilograms were stubbornly hanging on.

Ups and downs

When my physiotherapist gave me the green light to resume physical activity, I was over the moon. But then the harsh reality set in...

It was hard for me to get to the gym. My husband works as a driver, so he's usually not at home, and I had no one to leave my daughter with. When I finally managed to organize care, I felt guilty for leaving my tiny baby.

Sleepless nights took their toll – I didn't have the strength to clean the apartment, let alone do a proper workout...

I decided to exercise at home, but I didn't really have a solid plan for it. I quickly got bored with the exercises and couldn't force myself to "knock out" an hour-long workout.

Of course, there were moments when I "pulled myself together" – I exercised, tried to eat regularly. But later, slumps would come – I couldn't motivate myself to exercise, I ate irregularly, made up for missed meals with sweets, and everything I had managed to work for went down the drain...

A voice of reason

I don't believe in magic solutions for being overweight. I know they don't exist, and yet I spent hours typing phrases into the search engine: "how to lose weight fast," "how to lose weight from thighs," "how to lose belly fat," "how to lose weight after pregnancy." There will be no element of surprise – I didn't find an ultra-fast and effortless way to get rid of those dreadful 5 kilograms...

I was enlightened by a friend who bought a PowerBoard vibration platform at a trade fair. Thanks to her, I learned that there are devices that facilitate working out at home and don't take up much space – which is very important in our small apartment in a block of flats. On a wave of enthusiasm, I called Casada and... I heard a voice of reason.

The girls from Casada made me realize that, above all, I need to listen to my own body. Not to force myself to work out when I'm so tired that I'm practically sweeping the floor with my eyelashes, but rather to start by setting aside 3–4 days a week to dedicate 15 minutes to training.
That seemed feasible to me – especially since I learned about two types of training: active and passive.

They also advised me to take advantage of a free dietary consultation – and that was a bullseye.

I've got the power

On a wave of enthusiasm, I started exercising on the platform. I used the moments when my child was asleep. Sometimes I exercised actively, and sometimes I just "shook off" the fat by standing on the platform and staring at the TV.

The dietitian prepared a meal plan for me and gave me tips on what to eat and how to supplement my body. Thanks to this, I stopped feeling hungry, and the ravenous cravings for sweets disappeared. I got back on track.

The changes came slowly but were stable. My weight didn't fluctuate, and my body looked much better: it was firmer, the cellulite smoothed out a bit... I saw the results of my work and felt like doing more. I bought active bands and started working on my arms.

Vibration platform PowerBoard gave me what I needed most: a home workout tailored to my current time, mood, and physical capabilities. I could do push-ups, or... simply stand there when I didn't have the strength for "proper" exercises. But I could always do SOMETHING and... feel better.

I lost those hated 5 kilograms and my complexes; I gained a beautiful body, self-confidence, and a desire to act. I started to enjoy exercising, although the gym will certainly not become my second home anytime soon – but I discovered that I like jogging and running while pushing the stroller. I also started going to the pool. Thanks to the dietary consultation, I improved my nutrition.

PowerBoard

Two words about the platform? It's great for moms! And it helps get the job done. It makes training enjoyable and not boring. There is one side effect – it's hard to keep it for yourself. My husband borrows it for his workouts when he's home.
