Spinal pain is a very common ailment. A sign of our times. Where does it come from, how do you deal with it, and most importantly - can you get rid of it effectively?
Back pain: cause and effect
Let’s start with the fact that back pain can have various origins. It can be caused by various factors, such as: an incorrect sleeping position, a past injury, poor posture (very common in people doing sedentary work), muscle weakness e.g., due to a lack of physical activity, overexertion, neuralgia, as well as congenital and acquired degeneration.
We have an influence on some of these factors, while others - unfortunately not, but we can always do something to improve our well-being. And we will explain what this "something" is right away.
Step one - as you make your bed...
Exactly. To begin with, think about how you sleep. Is the room aired out? Do you have a properly chosen mattress? Do you sleep flat, or does your head rest on an impossibly high combination of pillows and cushions? The cause of your problems may lie right here.
OUR ADVICE: get yourself a MediDream rehabilitation pillow. It will provide proper support for the cervical spine while you sleep. This model has a built-in Bluetooth speaker - so you can listen to your favorite music before sleep and relax, which will make falling asleep easier.
Step two - posture is key!
What posture do you adopt during the day? Do you use your mobile phone a lot? Do you sit at a desk, or do you spend the whole day on your feet?
We spend about 1/3 of the day at work - that is a lot of time. Think about the position in which you work. If you primarily work on a computer - this justifies pain in the cervical spine and lower back. If you have a standing job - you are certainly plagued by the lumbar region and swollen legs. Pain after physical work often involves the lower spine, but also the thoracic spine.
OUR ADVICE: for better well-being, but also to improve your performance at work, take breaks! Constructive breaks - dedicated to relaxing the body and regenerating the mind. Change position, stretch, do a few bends or squats - your body will tell you what it needs. You can also use a portable massager to relieve your pain.
The best office gadget is the Miniwell Twist2Go massage pillow. Take the MediGunPRO massage gun with you to the construction site. This device is not just for athletes! It will effectively loosen tense, "overstrained" muscles. If you don't know how to use it properly, check out physiotherapist Marek Purczyński: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdY-aZ4yjJg
Step three - movement is health!
To prevent injuries and trauma, and consequently - to eliminate or effectively reduce spinal pain, you must strengthen your muscles. The best way to do this is through exercise. Thanks to them, you will not only improve your well-being, but also oxygenate your body, improve your fitness, and gain strength and energy.
A gentle warm-up should be performed right after waking up to prepare the body for daily activity - but who has time for that in the morning rush! Therefore, you need to take care of physical activity later - but when, when after work you run for groceries, pick up the kids on the way, and a million important matters are waiting for you at home?
OUR ADVICE: spare at least 15 minutes 3x a week to strengthen muscles in all parts of your body in the comfort of your home.
The PowerBoard 3.0 vibration platform will help you with this.
You can also perform exercises with dumbbells. Once you get in shape, it will be easier for you to motivate yourself to visit the gym or the swimming pool.
Step four - better to prevent than to cure
Remember that health prevention is very important. It will allow you to avoid pain, stress, as well as treatment expenses. Try to change your lifestyle to a more hygienic one - of course, there are some things you have no control over, e.g., you cannot always reduce stress at work - so try to ensure good relaxation afterward.
OUR ADVICE: get yourself a Quattromed V BT massage mat. Not only will it massage your back and buttocks, but thanks to its cooperation with the Braintronics app, it will also allow you deep mental relaxation.
A foot massager is also an excellent choice. Reflexomed II performs 3 reflexology massage programs: pain-relieving, stimulating, and harmonizing.
Foot massage is not just a wildly pleasant experience - reflexology has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the entire body.
You can find all massage devices in the Massagers tab.

If spinal pain is caused by degeneration or a medical condition - remember to consult with a doctor or physiotherapist about the choice of the appropriate device.
